Deze week de laatste week voor de zomervakantie voor onze peutergroep🌞. We speelden lekker buiten en sloten vandaag de dag af met een afscheidsfeestje van 2 meiden die naar de basisschool gaan en een zomerfeest met alle papa's/mama's, opa en oma's.🎉 Het was heel gezellig. This week we are reading aloud from the book "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" 🐛 By eating a lot, he gets fatter and fatter and eventually "pupates" to later emerge as a beautiful butterfly 🦋 We made caterpillars by stamping with toilet paper rolls and paint, and had a wonderful time playing outside with them. This week, we celebrated a birthday party at the toddler group 🍀. We made a clay rock for our dads, because Dad, you're the best! We also had a fun morning where the fathers came to do a fun activity with their children; they could play soccer, catch ducks, throw cans, and make sand pies. Last week, we held Grandpa and Grandma Week in the toddler group. We read books with the children and made something beautiful for grandpa and grandma. This week, we are enjoying movement games, transforming from caterpillar to cocoon and flying out into butterflies. We also check the weather every morning using the weather cards #peuters #wiedewei #vlinders.

It's lovely to have started with the toddler group again right after the May break. Over the coming weeks, we will be working on the theme: Sprout and the Butterfly🦋, which was introduced today. We also had a fun and successful Mother's Day activity in the group, together with all the mothers. Together with their children, they made an insect hotel. A busy but fun week at the toddler group. We reflected on Safety, Evacuation, and Shelter Week🚨. We waved goodbye to children who will be starting primary school after the May holidays👋 They celebrated their birthday parties in advance🥳.
