The pedagogical vision of Wiedewei

When you choose childcare, you want your child to have a safe place with plenty of space to play, develop and meet friends. And that we take your child's personal needs into account. Would you like to know how we do that at Wiedewei? We'll tell you more below!

At Wiedewei we do it this way!

Power supply

Power supply

At Wiedewei your child eats according to the Nutrition Center's Wheel of Five. The products in the Wheel of Five are good for the body according to the latest scientific insights and contain sufficient minerals, vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, fats and fiber. At daycare, your child will be offered a warm, nutritious meal from Madaga after a morning outdoors. Of course, your BSO child also eats according to the Wheel of Five.

Celebrate with attention

Celebrate with attention

At Wiedewei we celebrate festively events with attention for your child. Because if it's your child's birthday, we won't let this pass by! For example, he or she can spin the Wiedewei wheel or choose a fun activity to do with the group. And the party is not complete without a beautiful natural crown. This way the birthday boy or girl receives extra attention and the children learn that celebrating a party does not always have to be accompanied by (unhealthy) food or a present.

Adventure play

Adventure play

Nature offers the opportunity to gain experience in exploring your own boundaries, reflecting and independently searching for a solution.

At Wiedewei we provide an environment for adventure play that offers nature experiences with acceptable risks. Your child will explore the garden by doing research and we involve nature in our play. Your child will find twigs, leaves and pine cones, but will also encounter tree roots and holes. Adventure play is a developmental process in which acceptable risks may be a learning experience, but dangers are excluded. This allows your child to develop further with the focus on what they can almost do, but would like to learn for themselves.

The green professional

On an adventure in the garden together. At Wiedewei, the pedagogical staff are real green professionals. Nature is the main source of inspiration. The pedagogical employee will let your child marvel at nature. Together they explore and are curious about everything they encounter. Your child is encouraged to investigate and discover and is encouraged to experience nature. This way your child learns to enjoy the world with all the senses.

Our pedagogical inspirations

The inspirers

Our pedagogical inspirations

We are inspired by the ideas of three different educationalists, namely Loris Malaguzzi from the pedagogy of Reggio Emilia, Emmi Pikler and Kees Both. These three sources of inspiration provide us with a solid foundation for pedagogical action within Wiedewei. Our view on your child's development, the guidance by the pedagogical staff and the influence that nature has on this, is reflected in these three inspirators.

  • Reggio Emilia
  • Emmi Pikler
  • Kees Both

Reggio Emilia

Reggio Emilia

From the pedagogy of Reggio Emilia, every child is seen as a complete, self-discovering and learning child. A lot of knowledge and skills are present in the child from an early age and are revealed and developed through play. A child discovers the world around him and uses different forms to express himself. Each child speaks its own language and shows this through its own talents, called 'the 100 languages' of a child.

At Wiedewei your child gets the chance to discover his or her own 100 languages. We encourage self-discovery development, which we support through the space, materials and attitude of the pedagogical staff.

Emmi Pikler

Emmi Pikler

Emmi Pikler's pedagogical idea is based on a curious child who wants to learn and discover. This inspiration mainly focuses on the youngest child; the baby and the years that follow. Emmi Pikler emphasizes that it is important to pay attention to a child's basic needs.

At Wiedewei, our first attention and care for your little one is to take care of their basic needs during the day. Your baby's own rhythm often determines how the day is spent. There is time for rest and sleep, for being awake and making contacts and time for active and free movement. At Wiedewei we pay attention to these different needs and ensure that your child of every age gets what he or she needs during the day.

Kees Both

Kees Both

Kees Both is a nature educator and endorses the importance of green pedagogy in which contact with nature plays a major role in the education of the young child.

At Wiedewei we think it is important that we marvel together in and about nature. Your child is therefore outside most of the day. There your child will discover with his or her senses, investigate and enjoy everything the garden has to offer. The rhythm of nature is central. We pay attention to the seasons and celebrations that pass by during the year and discover the dynamic changes of nature.

Your child's individuality and background

Your child is developing very quickly and always needs the right challenge. Your child's pedagogical staff monitors the entire development of your child from 0 to 3 years old through a child monitoring system; the methods LOOK! or THE lines of development. This means they know exactly what your child needs and always provide the right amount of challenge by tailoring the activities accordingly.

Cooperation with primary schools
Kibeo works closely with child-oriented organizations, such as primary schools. The data from the KIJK! observations are transferred to the primary school when your child is almost 4 years old. This way the teacher knows what your child needs and we ensure the best possible start at primary school. Of course, this conversation only happens with your permission.

When your child needs extra attention

Our goal is to provide childcare to as many children as possible. That is why, just like primary schools, we offer suitable education and suitable care.
