In a brand new video, recorded at Wiedewei W. van Vlietstraat in Oud-Beijerland, the children and pedagogical staff show how they celebrate birthdays: with personal attention and above all, having a lot of fun together!
No treats, but a party
In the video, branch manager Kitty explains why Wiedewei chooses to celebrate birthdays without treats, but with a party: “Because a birthday is about attention, and not about what you give out. At Wiedewei we turn every birthday into a party, without sweets, disposable packaging or presents that quickly end up in a corner. Instead, the birthday child can spin our activity wheel and choose how we celebrate. This way, every child feels special and it's all about having fun together, without parents having to worry about what to treat!”
