Nature experience

At Wiedewei a child spends a lot of time outside every day to play, to researchto amaze, to discover and learn. By experiencing nature at a young age, a child is given the opportunity to develop from a sensory experience of soft stimuli, such as the rustling of leaves, the tickling of grass or the buzzing of a bee. Stimuli that stimulate development and the development of senses refine. Getting to know nature is essential for a balanced development of a child. At Wiedewei we stimulate this green development of a child.

It rhythm of nature is something that cannot be influenced. At Wiedewei we embrace nature and the recurring phases and rhythms in it. Think of the falling of the leaves, the sowing, caring and harvesting in our vegetable garden and the rhythm of the day. A child also develops according to its own rhythm and pace. From an early age, the biological process of feeding, caring and sleeping is clearly recognizable.

In all developmental stages we embrace the natural urge to learn and discover of a child. The pedagogical employee looks and listens to the child with calm, attention and trust and adjusts his/her own actions to that ii.

Nature-oriented discovering attitude
When you work as a pedagogical employee at Wiedewei, we expect a nature-oriented attitude in addition to a child-oriented attitude. That you see it as a challenge and your task to marvel at the nature in your immediate environment together with the children. That you go on a discovery together and are curious about everything you encounter on your adventures. That you stimulate your children to discover and explore. That you stimulate them to experience nature by enjoying the world together with all your senses.

…By listening to the song of the bird in the tree,
…to smell the scents of your own self-sown herb garden,
…to feel the wet grass
…and watch the grasshopper find its way through your garden.
In short, by 'being' together in your nature!
